Meet Our San Antonio Law Tigers

Gregory H. Herrman

A native of Hays, Kansas, Herrman comes from a family of lawyers. His father had a general practice in Hays, and an uncle and grandfather also were attorneys. He came to Texas and received a B.A. in Liberal Arts from the University of Texas in 1982 and his J.D. from Baylor University School of Law in 1986. During his undergraduate years, he worked his way through school by selling Kirby vacuum cleaners door to door, and started his own Kirby franchise during law school.

After getting his J.D., Herrman joined a firm in Corpus Christi, handling both plaintiff’s personal injury and insurance defense cases. After five years, he joined his brother, David, and another attorney to form their own law firm committed solely to representing injured accident victims. Herrman has maintained that focus in his practice ever since.

David E. Herrman

David Herrman is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Texas and the Texas Supreme Court. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Born in Hays, Kansas, he received his B.A. summa cum laude from George Washington University in 1987 and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law in 1991.

Cary Toland

Cary M Toland, a native of the Rio Grande Valley, graduated Cum Laude from St. Mary’s School of Law in San Antonio and has been in practice since 1992. He began his career working as a Federal Law Clerk for the Honorable Filemon B Vela, United States District Judge for the Southern District of Texas and quickly realized he wanted to be a trial lawyer. For the past 23 years, he has focused his practice on representing clients in a large variety of personal injury cases. Cary was Board Certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Personal Injury Trial Law in 2001 and was invited to become a Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates in 2005. He has served on the State Bar Texas Board of Legal Specialization Personal Injury Trial law credentialing committee since 2010.

Kyzmyck Byerly

Kyzmyck Byerly’s strengths lie in the compassion for the people that she represents. Her conviction drives her to excel, using her knowledge of the law to provide the best possible case results for her clients. She prides on standing up for the rights of personal injury victims and wrongful death victims! All the years of experience have taught her that accident victims of personal injury and wrongful death deserve a lawyer who is compassionate, honest, experienced. Will R. Privette

William Ronald Privette was born in New Jersey, and moved to Texas in 1998 with his family. Will attended high school in Colleyville, Texas and received a golf and music scholarship to Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, emphasizing in Pre-Law. Will participated in debate competitions for his alma mater, most notably in the National Moot-Court Championship for Mediation at John Marshall School of Law for three consecutive years. Will was also recognized as an outstanding delegate in the Model Arab League in 2008-2009, a multi-regional model competition in which university students from across the world learn about and compete as representatives from Member States of the Arab League. From TWU, Will was accepted to Texas Wesleyan School of Law (Now Texas A&M School of Law) where he earned his Juris Doctorate in 2012. Since being admitted to practice in Texas, Will has practiced in a variety of fields, including but not limited to: Family Law, Bankruptcy Law, Real Estate Law, Consumer law, Transactional law, and most prominently, Personal Injury Law.

Scott Staha

Scott Staha is committed to providing the highest level of personal injury legal assistance to his clients. He is 100% dedicated to representing personal injury and wrongful death victims. Steven Stratso

Jonathon R. Garza

Born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley, Jonathan has always embraced his hispanic roots and heritage, and from a young age has wanted to make a difference for those who couldn’t fight for themselves.

Mr. Garza completed his undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University and graduated Cum Laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2009. After becoming licensed, Mr. Garza worked for Perdue Brandon Fielder Collins & Mott, LLP.

Jordan Jackson

Jordan Jackson is an associate at Herrman and Herrman Injury Attorneys and a native of San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Jackson earned a Bachelors of Business Administration from Baylor University in both Marketing and Real Estate. After completing her undergraduate studies she enrolled in St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, Texas.

Lane Diamond

Lane Diamond earned his Juris Doctor and MBA from the University of Houston in 2001. Since being admitted to practice in Texas, Lane has primarily litigated both personal injury and commercial cases. Lane worked as in-house counsel for a hospital system. Lane felt it was important for him to returned to a practice exclusively dedicated to working with clients that have been injured due to the negligence of others. This provides Lane the benefit of both helping other while doing something that he enjoys. Lane has been married for over ten years and has two young children.

Jeff Johnson

Jeff Johnson has always been committed to providing the highest level of legal representation for his clients. He understands each case is “the most important case” to a client. His legal experience has taught him that all clients deserve an attorney who is honest with them and vigorously fights for them.

Jeff was born in Shelbyville, Indiana. He was the first in his family to graduate from college. He attended Purdue University and received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1990. While at Purdue University, he worked his way through school by participating in the university-industry cooperative education program in engineering.

Josh W. Hopkins

Josh W. Hopkins received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1988. He went on to obtain his law degree from the South Texas College of Law in 1993 where he participated in varsity moot court as a member of South Texas College of Law’s highly successful moot court team. Josh has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2000. Josh is licensed in State and Federal Courts of Texas and Louisiana. He is also an admitted patent attorney by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Christian Meneses

Mr. Meneses received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Michigan State University College of Law and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Texas at El Paso. During law school, Mr. Meneses worked with the Michigan State Legal Clinic representing clients in immigration proceedings, including filing for asylum, special immigrant juvenile status, adjustment of status, and naturalization applications.
